$Money$

HELLOOOOOO Buena Vista University loan disbursement check!!!!!

I know, I know... this is probably something I shouldn't be receiving if I were a 'responsible' college student. Anyone who knows me knows I am not the 'responsible' one. I milk loan checks for all their worth... "Oh, BV, your classes are only going to cost $8,000, but I have federal loans available for $12,000? Where do I sign?" I suppose I deserve it though, I did pay out of pocket for my college for 2 years, and let me tell you... that is NOT fun! It also helps to sign for a loan when you don't exactly have a job. My husband is super excited that he'll be getting $x,000 to spend, and his wifey didn't even have to go to work!

On a more sour note with my college.... the ONE class that I need to take after December (I was supposed to graduate in December, but I dropped a class) will not be offered in the January-February term. It will be offered in March. Really? I have to wait to be officially done with school??? WTF!?? It could be worse though, at least this way I can graduate in May.

What else has been happening??? Hmm... got the X-mas lights up on our house.. outside only, of course. I've been making my Ninja Turtle shell for my Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas costume. Maybe I'll just change my identity so I can wear it all the time. :) Oh, thanks to MLIA I have an AWESOME idea for my pumpkins. Would you like to know what it is?? Ok, I'll tell you.. only because I'm bursting to tell someone! I'm going to have 2-3 pumpkins with looks of concern/horror on their faces looking up. Why looking up? Well, I'm putting a suicidal pumpkin on my roof, that's why. Epic, Yes.

I started a diet/exercise plan. It will be the death of me. Never ask your soldier husband to be your trainer, it's just not a good thing for obvious reasons. I'm really stubborn when it comes to running. I hate it. I remember when I was out for track in High School. On days when we were to 'run to the tressel or to the other side of town' I'd run for a couple blocks and then walk into my house to eat fruit snacks. I know... terrible, but I had quite the posse with me. Anyhoo.. I tell Kyle to be mean and yell at me to do stuff. He actually does it! Hopefully it'll end up being good for me.

Well.. I think that's gonna be it for tonight... gotta do a little more studying for my final exam. Wish me luck!

Fuck You, Army

Well.. went to Iowa this past weekend.. found a new drink. It's called "Strip and G0 Naked" it definitely lives up to its name.. good grief! I was just going to have a small glass so I could do homework tonight... welp.. that small glass definitely got me drunk.. and of course when you're drunk you can't stop drinking... vicious circle.

I went home.. like I told you last paragraph... I don't think I can do it anymore. I've never been so bored in my entire life. Everyone pulls me in different directions 'go to my game... no come over and have a drink... lets go to the bar!' I never know who I need to please. I try to please everyone, but we all know that is not at all possible. Whenever I go back, sometimes I feel I'm in a time warp, and other times I feel as if they've jumped ahead of me. Let's explore that thought...

E'burg is definitely like a time warp. Sometimes I go back and I feel that absolutely nothing has changed. I think that when I left for Georgia, people stopped living until I would come back. Does that sound weird? Let's try to explain. I left for good. Some people were drinking and playing pool at the bar, some were playing video games in my basement, and some were dating people. I would visit, and nobody had moved since I left! I think people stayed in my basement for months at a time, just waiting for my return!!!!! It's fucking crazy! I kinda feel bad for them... they haven't moved on.. they're just like they were in high school and god forbid, iowa lakes.

Then I feel as if people have jumped ahead. I get on facebook and people tell me "I drank at the pub with your mom and dad last night." WTF. I don't think my parents ever went OUT for a drink for like the last 15 years I lived with them! What has happened? Have I driven them to drink? And then my siblings. Really? 8th grade football already? Geezus. How about being in 2nd grade? Did I miss kindergarten and 1st grade... apparently. It actually makes me feel guilty. I know I couldn't stay in E'burg forever to watch them grow-up... but geezus.. they could at least slow down and help me!!!

Ok.. well, I think I'm finished with my time-warp and jump-ahead conspiracies. I wish those two theories could meet in the middle I'd be set for life. :)

Wow.. I didnt realize how drunk I was.

I'll leave you guys on a terrible note... only because I was informed of this terrible note today. We all know that Kyle was supposed to come home with me this last weekend.. but he got tasked to do a job that would cut into his weekend. Well, at the last minute that job was cancelled, but it was cancelled on a monday, and in order for kyle to come home with me, he would have had to turn a pass in on friday. So.. he couldnt come with me. sucky sucky sucky. Now.. for the other terrible note...
Kyle's squad has been unofficially tasked for the troop return on Turkey Day weekend. WHAT THE FUCK. We have plans. People are actually coming back home with us. Why can't the band take all the people who aren't doing shit for Thanksgiving, and make them do it. His squad has all the fucking people in it that could actually go home... but nope. not anymore. I hate the fucking army. with a god damn passion.

Sorry...

Sorry.. been on kinda a hiatus. My lovely cousin Marilee keeps yelling at me for not posting anything new...so this one's for you, dear! So much has been happening.. a couple big HAWKEYE wins, Twins clinching the AL Central, mandatory Army FluMist, and the lovely Swine Flu shot is coming up next week! What to talk about first... hmm...

Hawkeyes, DUH!! Some awesomeness against Penn State, that poor team and their 87 year old coach.. is JoePa going to die before his contract is up?? Geezus! Ark State.. psh.. what a joke, I live really close to Arkansas.. I'm surprised they have ANY colleges!! Hehehe.. ok, that was mean. I'm sure it's a very prestigious school.. BAHAHAHA.. who am I kidding!? Next up, Michigan. It's also Iowa's homecoming, hope they can pull out a win for all the wonderful fans who will be cheering them on!

Twins... good grief.. 12 innings last night. I lost my voice during the 6th, not even gonna lie! Talk about an awesome game! My hubby.. aka Joe Mauer.. had kinda a bad night with the bat..no homers. He was pretty upset when he got home. ;) Nah.. but in all seriousness, the Twins played a damn good game and showed the Tigers that it doesn't matter how long you're #1 in the division, it can always be taken away.. hehehe. I do feel bad for the Twins tonight though, they have to play the Yankees, and they went through A LOT of pitchers last night.. hopefully some good ones are up for the task ahead! GO TWINKIES!!

Mandatory Army flu shots. Not a bad idea. Mandatory Army FluMist.. terrible idea. Let's put LIVE flu virus into our soldiers...especially while they're over fighting in A-stan or Iraq. SERIOUSLY??!! I thought it was bad enough when Kyle's unit got it. About half the unit had to go to sick call within the few days after getting misted. Families had to go to the hospital cuz the soldier got EVERYONE sick! WTF. We were some of the lucky ones. I'm going to thank my Disney Princess Gummy Vitamins for that :) I just think that it should be optional... get a live virus (mist) or get a shot that isn't going to get your family sick if they so choose not to get vaccinated (ME).

Moving on the the swine flu vaccination. I read at least 30 different articles on this. The manufacturers of this lovely shot won't be participating in receiving it. That sounds REALLY safe. The military is making all soldiers receive this shot... and their RESULTS.. yes.. results... are going to be sent to the CDC and to the manufacturer for further investigation if the shot really works. So.. my husband is a guinea pig? Hmm.. I don't think he signed up for that when he signed his contract. The Air Force Academy has already received the shot, and had to go into lockdown because everyone got sick. A unit coming home from Iraq had to be held-over in Kuwait because of so much sickness. Hmm.. interesting. I think I'll be staying away from my house and the swine flu-y husband that will be residing in it.

Ok.. enough ranting. At least if Kyle dies, I'll be receiving the full half-million dollar life insurance policy. Cha-Ching! heheh.

So.. Marilee... I'm going to blame my new found addiction on YOU. It seems quite fitting. Harry freaking Potter. Thanks. yea, I'm on chapter 27 of the 4th book. And I've watched the first 3 movies. Is there a group for this? A coping session? I hope I finish the book soon.. so I can watch the 4th movie and see Cedric.... :)

Ok.. enough for now. Root for the Twinkies tonight! And the Hawks on Saturday!
